The Oceanis 38.1, an innovative and elegant sailing yacht from Bénéteau

The Bénéteau Oceanis 38.1 is a magnificent sailboat that combines functionality, performance, and elegance in a size where function usually takes precedence over customization. This new version intelligently brings together these three qualities to deliver an unforgettable sailing experience.

A refined and spacious interior design

For the Nauta Design team, the challenge was to increase living spaces in the saloon while providing more privacy for the owner’s cabin without losing the visual perspective created by its forward-facing openness. Indeed, the Oceanis 38.1 is available in 6 different versions, each with various layouts: number of cabins and bathrooms, saloon modularity, kitchen options, storage capacity, etc.

A separate and intimate owner’s cabin

Now accessible via double doors, the owner’s cabin of this cruising sailboat offers beautiful privacy while remaining visually open to the front. The portholes also provide exceptional natural light.

Customizable interior ambiances

  • Light oak or Alpi mahogany: the Oceanis 38.1 offers a choice between a contemporary ambiance with light oak or a more classic ambiance with Alpi mahogany.
  • The kitchen can be arranged according to the owner’s preferences: linear, L-shaped, with an additional worktop, etc.

Performance and customization options

The Oceanis 38.1 is equipped with a 40 HP Yanmar engine, providing optimal power during motor sailing. The sailboat is CE certified for categories A8 / B9 / C10, ensuring safety and reliability.

Keel options

  • Deep keel: for reduced draft, better suited to shallow areas.
  • Arch option: adds a davit support for storing the dinghy at the stern.
  • Swing keel without arch: allows sailing in very shallow waters.
  • Short keel without arch: ideal for coastal cruising and shallow water navigation.

Interior layout plans

Several configurations are possible, including:

  • Forward cabin with headboard facing forward, two aft cabins, bathroom with toilet.
  • L-shaped bench in the saloon, large kitchen, gentle descent to the saloon at a 45° angle.

Raymarine electronics and HARKEN equipment

The Oceanis 38.1 is equipped with a complete Raymarine electronics package, ensuring safe and precise navigation. Elvström sails and HARKEN deck equipment guarantee optimal performance during sea outings.

Comprehensive support from Bénéteau

With dedicated teams for sea trials, financing, customization, events, and after-sales service, as well as a global network of dealers, Bénéteau supports each owner in their sailing life and puts all its expertise at the service of building a lasting relationship.

In summary, the Bénéteau Oceanis 38.1 is a sailboat that makes no compromises between functionality, performance, and elegance, much like the rest of the range, such as its little brother, the Oceanis 30.1, or the Oceanis 37.1. Its refined and spacious interior design, performance, customization options, and the support offered by Bénéteau make it an ideal choice for those who want to sail on a unique and exceptional boat.
