Tricat 30. The fast and comfortable trimaran for all types of sailing.

Tricat, the specialist in folding-arm trimarans, presented the Tricat 30 in 2016. The Breton shipyard has been gaining momentum with this 9m cruising trimaran. Here’s a look at a multihull that has everything to please everyone.

The Tricat shipyard, managed by Antoine HOUDET and created in 2003, began its history with thee Tricat 22 then the Tricat 25, Launched in 2006. Since 2016, the shipyard has offered a 30-footer, the Tricat 30, which embodies the shipyard’s historical spirit: a philosophy based on the pleasure of sporty sailing on a safe trimaran.

Tricat 30, family cruising and the pleasure of sailing

The Tricat 30 is therefore a multihull, trimaran, which offers a truly exhilarating gliding experience (speeds of up to 20 knots were reached during the initial tests). It shares the same characteristics as its smaller siblings, the Tricat 20 And Tricat 6.90But be warned, while this multihull is lively and fast, it’s equally family-friendly and remains maneuverable even single-handed. And that’s its strength: having fun without forgetting the family!

Tricat 30 in navigation

Approved in category B, This small trimaran, less than 9 meters long, allows one to imagine beautiful and long semi-offshore voyages. At the same time, the Tricat 30 retains… folding arms to find space in all marinas or small ports.

The fittings of the Tricat 30

tricat square 30Inside, everything is designed for life on board. Imagine yourself in a trimaran offering two double berths (front and rear), a modular dinette area on the port side that can accommodate 6 people facing a long American kitchen and a closed WC area (with shower).

Comfort is further enhanced with the fins located in the floats and not in the central hull.

When you enter the cabin, what immediately strikes you is the optimization of space with a chart table that unfolds or the folding seats in the saloon.

Finally, the saloon is airy with a fairly high coachroof and portholes that seem to let in plenty of light. The trimaran benefits from 1.88m of headroom.
