The German shipyard Bavaria Yacht unveiled, at the Cannes Yachting Festival, its new sailing yacht from the C Range, the Bavaria C46. An intelligent, elegant sailboat that adapts to each owner.
This was a successful world premiere for the Bavaria shipyard. The German yard presented 8 of its boats (sailboats and motorboats) at the Cannes Yachting Festival, which has become the largest in-water boat show in Europe. But two boats in particular were the center of attention: the Bavaria SR33, a motorboat, and the Bavaria C46, a cruising sailboat. It is the latter that interests us today.
The Bavaria C46 is designed for solo or crewed sailing, combining ease of use and versatility.
An innovative rig for optimized sailing
This sailboat is designed to be easily handled, regardless of the number of crew members on board. Leveraging the technological advancements of the C-LINE range, the Bavaria C46 offers a brand-new rig and sail concept. This further enhances its sailing qualities, making the on-board experience even more enjoyable and high-performing.
Modularity tailored to every sailor’s needs

Whether sailing solo, with a small crew, or with family, the C46 offers multiple layout options to meet the specific needs of each user. For example, it can accommodate up to six winches and offer a upwind sail area of over 100 m².
- Six modular winches according to needs
- Over 100 m² of upwind sail area
- Gennaker and Code 0 as options
Customizable interior layout
Depending on the chosen sailing program (coastal or offshore cruising), the Bavaria C46 can be configured with a minimum of 3 cabins and up to 5. Thus, each owner can adapt the layout of their boat to their specific needs and the requirements of the type of sailing they practice.
A bright and welcoming salon area

The Bavaria C46 features a particularly spacious and bright salon, making life on board pleasant and cozy. The large windows let in an abundance of natural light, creating a convivial and soothing atmosphere.
Designed to meet the expectations of contemporary sailors, the bathroom of the Bavaria C46 is both functional and comfortable. With its modular layout, it notably offers the possibility to create a separate shower for added convenience on board.

In summary
The Bavaria C46 represents a real advance in sailboat design, offering a wide range of possibilities to meet the various needs and expectations of its users, from coastal cruising to offshore sailing. Thanks to its innovative rig, modular interior layout, and versatile use, it is sure to appeal to sailing enthusiasts looking for a boat that combines performance and comfort.
